Note: The only difference between the Plaitnum and Gold is the map scale. The map scale that is used in the Platinum is much more detailed than the Gold and uses far more maps to cover the same amount of area. The Platinum is more money, but is actually a better value because of the number of maps compared to price (about 5 cents per map).
